Official puts Russian unemployment at 6.3% in June
MOSCOW, Jul 13 (PRIME) – Russia’s unemployment rose to 6.3% in June from 6.1% in May, according to a preliminary estimate, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov said on Monday at a meeting on strategic development and national projects.
"There are no figures for June so far, they should be released soon but according to estimates, unemployment amounted to 6.3%," Belousov said.
He also said that the number of employed by small and medium business must recover to 20 million people by the end of 2021 and rise to 25 million in the future.
